Nitin Ghadiyar is a senior leader in the FMCG / Pharma industry and is widely regarded to be among the top corporate professionals in that space. He has had an enviable track record of over 35 years mainly with Multinationals and large Indian Corporates – Glaxo, Colgate Palmolive, Parke-Davis, Reckitt Piramal, Johnson & Johnson and Dabur. A Masters in Management from the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute, Nitin is particularly recognized as an expert in the OTC/self-medication and Healthcare Business in India. Nitin specializes in turnaround and quantum growth assignments. He has had a successful track record in launching new businesses and has wide local and global exposure in acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and strategic alliances. Most of Nitin’s work experience has been as Head of Business. His significant assignments are Group Director-Parke Davis, Managing Director – Reckitt Piramal, President & Executive Director – Johnson & Johnson , Executive Director – Dabur, and CEO-Brands with Strides Arcolab Limited. Nitin’s most recent assignment has been as Executive Director on the Board of Rasna, an FMCG Company. Nitin has been instrumental in helping build over 20 national brands in the Indian Consumer Products and Pharmaceutical segments. These include Glucon- D, Complan, Halls, Chiclets, Listerine, Benedryl, Gelusil, Saridon, Lacto Calamine, Honitus Cough Syrup, the Dabur Ayurveda range and the Erythropoietin mega brand, Eprex. Apart from the brands and the businesses that he has built, Nitin has also been the driving force in creating strong teams of performance driven professionals. Several of these professionals are now business leaders in their own right. Nitin now actively operates as Consultant in various sectors to both large Corporates and to SMEs and Family Managed Businesses, and has been serving as Independent/ Executive Director on a few Boards. Nitin is associated with Management Education and has served on the governing board of St. Xavier’s Institute of Management and is also on the faculty of several leading Management Institutes. Nitin is a member of the Core Faculty at the Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management with which he has been closely associated for the past several years. Nitin is also faculty at SPJIMR, a top five Management Institute in India.
